Description

In Hinduism, Nandi is the name of the bull who serves as the mount (Vahana) and gatekeeper of Lord Shiva and Parvati. All over India, temples dedicated to Shiva generally have a seated Nandi displayed at the entrance. This figure of a standing Nandi on a platform, is an old collectible from Kerala. Made of bell metal (a form of bronze), the piece is in good condition.
