Description

Narasimha is a fierce avatar of the Hindu god Vishnu, who incarnates in the form of part lion and part man, to destroy evil and end religious persecution and calamity on Earth, thereby restoring Dharma.
The Khmer Empire is used to define Cambodia between the 9th to 15th centuries, when the nation was a Hindu/Buddhist empire in Southeast Asia.
This exquisite sculpture of Narasimha is made in a style distinctly representative of Khmer art.
