Description

This quaint silver-hued Marelli table fan was manufactured in Italy in the 1920s, for English Electric Company Ltd. It has a voltage of 220/230-250, and serial no. 4173229. It consists of an iron body and a protective bezel and propellor in aluminum. The fan has been restored to working order.
Ercole Marelli was the first Italian ceiling fan manufacturer, starting in Milan in 1891 with the production of ‘electrical air agitators’. At the time, the most popular ceiling fans were usually American - known to be big and heavy. Marelli built a series of elegant alternating-current fans, which were lighter, more elegant, and most of all, convenient and practical for domestic use.
