Description

This 1950s Murphy radio has a flattering see-through front panel running over the parallel grid lines. Of the serial number 167002, the radio has been restored to working order, AM/SW. With a type TA222 A.C mains receiver, it is compatible with a 90-250 V, 40/100 - A.C supply and has a consumption of 41 watts.
It has been manufactured by Murphy Radio of India ltd. Radio & electrical manufacturers, Dr Shirodkar Road, off Hospital Avenue, Parel, Bombay. Murphy Radio was founded in 1929 by Frank Murphy and E.J. Power as a volume manufacturer of home radio sets.
