Description

This figure of a woman standing upright, with hands by her side, is an old collectible from Kerala, which may have been used in a temple for decorative purposes. Made in wood, the bejewelled woman is seen in a blouse and a skirt with its pleats gathered in front. Traces of gold from the original paint can be seen on the necklace. The paint has faded due to passage of time, but the piece otherwise in good condition.
