Akashendu Das, also known as Akash Das, is an impassioned photographer, artist and nature crusader, who has dedicated his time and talent to the cause of vanishing wildlife. Over two decades of wildlife photography has given him an interesting insight, and his photographs never fail to touch the soul. His black and white photography exhibition titled ‘In Search of Asian Nudes’, was a first of its kind in the world, finding a spot in the Limca Book of World Records.
Awarded one of the ‘10 Most Influential People in the Photography Industry’ by Ernst & Young for Asian Photography in 2013, Akashendu Das’s works have been part of numerous solo and group exhibitions, including shows in Paris, Hamburg, New Delhi and Miami. His works have been published in several coffee table books as well. Akashendu’s photographs feature in many collections including those of the Government of Uttar Pradesh, Government of Manipur, Government of Sikkim, National Geographic, WWF, BBC, ITC, ONGC International, Mercedes Benz, Honda, NDTV, Times of India, Outlook, Nokia and IndusInd, among others.
